v2.0.8
dbt 2.0.8 lowers the minimum Python version to 3.10, fixes TableNotFound errors during analyze operations on MapReduce, restores catalog.json writing for dbt build, and adds test helpers for integration testing.
2.0.8
Released October 14, 2026
Features
- Lower the minimum supported Python version for the dbt and dbt-oss PyPI wheels to 3.10
Fixes
- Fix spurious TableNotFound errors during analyze caused by MapReduce silently dropping a key claimed by a worker whose connection report the driver had not yet observed
dbt build --write-catalogwritescatalog.jsonagain; since the preview that shipped #13328 (first observed in 2.0.0-preview.218) the implied index default for build/check overrode the explicit flag and the catalog was silently skipped.
Under the Hood
- Add ProjectEnv::empty, ProjectBuilder::baseline and TaskSeq::from_builder test helpers for programmatic integration test projects

dbt 2.0.0-dev.41
Added Lake Compute support for reading AWS Databricks Unity Catalog tables with PAT/OAuth M2M credentials. Fixed multiple issues including modules.re keyword argument handling, column-tag diffs in Databricks, and test config inheritance from dbt-core.
BigQuery drivers continue on ADBC.GetObjects errors
Fixed an issue where BigQuery drivers would fail on ADBC.GetObjects 404/403 errors, which was causing incorrect use of REPLACE TABLE instead of MERGE for incremental tables. The drivers now continue gracefully when encountering these errors.
