Features

  • [Lake Compute] Read AWS Databricks Unity Catalog tables using Databricks profile PAT/OAuth M2M credentials, declaration-aware validation, and dbt debug attach parity. Existing fs catalogs.yml entries continue to use type: unity. Existing local Unity attach options in config.lakecompute must move to config.duckdb; Lake Compute access is read-only and Unity model writes are unsupported.

  • Fix modules.re functions silently dropping keyword arguments (flags=, maxsplit=, count=) (#15508)
  • Emit only changed columns in Databricks column-tag alter diffs (#16246)
  • Emit only changed keys in Databricks relation-tag SET TAGS diffs (#16248)
  • Implement TableRepr methods index_of_value_in_column and count_occurrences_of_value_in_column to fix Fusion panic in dbt_utils.get_query_results_as_dict()
  • Copy config.group onto the top-level group for source and singular tests, matching dbt-core (#15930)
  • Make insert_gateway_label idempotent so gateway host resolution no-ops when the label is already present, instead of relying on a caller-side guard
  • Set tags on operation nodes so on-run-start/on-run-end hooks are discoverable when running dbt-core with --use-v2-parser (#16310)

Under the Hood

  • Add PyPI banner for dbt-oss mirroring the existing dbt-core banner, without the dbt-core namespace deprecation notice
  • Update the release workflow's maturin wheel build to target the Python 3.10 abi3 floor

Fixed an issue where BigQuery drivers would fail on ADBC.GetObjects 404/403 errors, which was causing incorrect use of REPLACE TABLE instead of MERGE for incremental tables. The drivers now continue gracefully when encountering these errors.
