Inngest — Developer Tools, Cloud product updates and releases, tracked on megachangelog.
Inngest v1.46.0 introduces sandbox secret management, fine-grained API key permissions, cloud sandboxes from local development, improved queue processing with dynamic partition limits, enhanced tracing with custom concurrency expressions, and multiple bug fixes including realtime streaming and queue backlog metrics corrections.
Fixed queue behavior to drop permanently unroutable items when WithPermanentConstraintErrorHandler is explicitly configured. Existing behavior remains unchanged unless explicitly enabled.
Inngest v1.45.0 adds OAuth cloud login support to the CLI and MCP clients, introduces CEL filtering and sandbox lifecycle APIs, and fixes multiple issues in debounce, queue migration, API serialization, and semaphore performance.
Release adds AI usage summaries at the run level with token and cost tracking, displays recorded scores on timeline bars, and fixes a queue concurrency issue with capacity lease renewal.
This release includes a new dashboard feature for filtering functions by app, adds CLI user agent tracking for API analytics, and fixes a CI workflow issue with the Sync Staging workflow push.
This release adds Scores and Experiments empty-state pages to the dev server, surfaces event scheduling in the dashboard, adds a v2 send event REST API endpoint, improves concurrency limit visibility in the UI, and fixes several issues including batch timeout scheduling and trace viewer performance on large deployments.
Miscellaneous updates including improved GraphQL code generation support and enhanced test coverage on Depot infrastructure.
Release includes AI dashboard improvements, queue resilience enhancements for unavailable shards, connection state fixes during gateway draining, and idempotent lease renewal for lost ACKs.
This release updates MCP tools to align with REST API v2, adds a v2 apps list endpoint, fixes support for falsy terns in expressions, and corrects reversed error handling for queue item not found errors.
v1.39.0 adds REST API and CLI support for canceling runs and rerunning from a specific step, improves CLI timestamp handling, fixes race conditions in queue and workflow checkpointing, and adds panic recovery for event lifecycle listeners to prevent cascading failures.
Improved clarity of run list commands and their documentation in the API to help users better understand command behavior and usage.
This release adds v2 REST endpoints for listing function runs with cursor pagination and filtering, enforces a one-year maximum duration for sleep and wait-for-event operations, and fixes the ordering and queue time display of async opcodes. Updates include queue infrastructure improvements, CLI metrics, and documentation enhancements.
Release includes a new v2 REST API endpoint for recording named scores against function runs and steps, improved error message clarity, AI metadata extraction parity with JS SDK, performance optimizations for sleep queue items, and multiple bug fixes for tracing and lease handling.
This release adds differentiation between request and response models in AI Metadata extraction, and renames AI Metadata field names to align with OpenTelemetry GenAI standards (model renamed to request_model, system renamed to provider). Insights queries using the old field names require migration.
REST V2 API and CLI now support experiments and sessions endpoints. This release also includes box plot visualization for numeric metrics, improved queue settings display, and several bug fixes.
Release includes rerun from step functionality now working in cloud with ability to update step inputs, fixes for custom concurrency cache keys to improve throughput, changes to AI metadata processing for extended traces to support only OTel GenAI, and improvements to extended traces display for steps with multiple attempts.
This is a prerelease build for testing purposes built from commit ef7617395b6c10ee87ddb558b0041548d5549e9d.
A prerelease build from commit 57d65b228ed991a33f0eee1577acb06731e00584 for testing and validation purposes.
Updated test configuration to disable skip_upload parameter for tap testing to ensure proper test coverage of the upload functionality.
This release adds semaphore routes to the debug API, enables sessions in the invoke button, updates AI experiment insights, and makes the Queue's Producer configurable.
Disabled skip_upload configuration for tap testing to ensure proper upload behavior during test runs.
Release includes UI improvements for step grouping, extended trace metrics with caps, and deterministic finalized step span IDs. Several bug fixes address debounce preservation, TTL handling, step span timing, and cron processing reliability.
This release adds support for parsing span attribute data from Langfuse, promotes the API CLI from alpha to beta as a top-level command, and includes improvements to the v2 API and insights functionality.
Adds event runs v2 API endpoints and improved AI metadata parsing from Open Inference and Vercel AI SDK span attributes. Also fixes a websocket memory leak in realtime connections.
Deferred runs are now visible in the run details view, giving users better visibility into the status and history of deferred function executions.
Inngest's agentic CLI now accepts path parameters as positional arguments in addition to flags, making commands like npx inngest-cli@latest alpha api invoke-function my-app hello/world more concise and intuitive.
Inngest v1.22.0 includes fixes for batch size enforcement and function orphaning after upgrades, a new CLI update notifier, performance improvements to batch partitioning, and security updates to dependencies.
Steps now accept StepPlanned events when they begin running, enabling better step lifecycle tracking and control flow.
This release adds alpha support for an agentic CLI to call Inngest V2 REST APIs, fixes worker disconnections from transient gateway errors and state size enforcement in checkpointing, and improves Connect gateway message handling performance with high-priority heartbeat goroutines.
Prerelease build of v1.19.5-beta.1 for testing and early feedback.
