Asana released multiple features across all plan tiers including swimlanes on board view, CSV import improvements, granular API scopes, task templates with work schedule support, dark mode in admin console, color customization, quick find and contextual search, custom task types on mobile, NZD currency option, smart chat improvements, task-to-milestone automation, multiple dashboard tabs, AI-powered workflow creation, Amazon Q integration, time attribution to projects, enhanced Power BI and Tableau connectors, week numbers in planning views, private custom fields in rules, portfolio PowerPoint exports, and IP allowlisting.

- (Personal) Swimlanes on board view: Organize tasks into horizontal rows by sections, assignees, or custom fields in board view.
- (Personal) CSV Import improvements: Get clearer row limit warnings, updated status messages, and email notifications when your CSV import completes or fails.
- (Personal) Granular API scopes for existing apps: Enable existing API applications to adopt granular permission scopes—including new webhook creation scopes—providing enhanced security and access controls without requiring app recreation.
- (Personal) Task templates respect work schedule: Choose whether task templates accommodate work schedules with a new toggle in task template settings, keeping due dates aligned with your team’s working hours and preventing scheduling conflicts.
- (Personal) Admin console dark mode: Enjoy dark mode support in the admin console
- (Personal) Improved color customization: Use a refreshed palette that provides more depth and visual consistency across projects, teams, and your workspace.
- (Personal) Quick find and Contextual search: Navigate large projects effortlessly with Quick find to instantly filter tasks by name in your current view, plus Contextual search to quickly access global search filtered by your project. Available across projects and My tasks on list, board, Gantt, and calendar views.
- (Starter) Create tasks with custom task types on mobile: Create custom task types using your project’s default custom task type (like “Bug” or “Ticket”) directly from iOS and Android.
- (Starter) NZD currency option for number custom fields: Select New Zealand Dollar (NZD) as a currency format when creating number custom fields.
- (Starter) Smart chat scroll behavior updates: Experience improved navigation in smart chat with enhanced auto-scrolling that focuses on the latest responses and a new floating button to quickly jump to the bottom of conversation threads.
- (Starter) Convert tasks to milestones with automation: Use rules to automatically convert tasks into milestones.
- (Starter) Create multiple dashboard tabs: Organize different reporting views by adding multiple dashboard tabs to projects and My tasks, with the ability to duplicate tabs within projects.
- (Starter) Words to workflows in AI Studio: Create Smart workflows by simply describing what you want in plain language, and let AI automatically set up the appropriate triggers, conditions, and actions for you.
- (Advanced) Amazon Q index integration: Connect Asana AI to your organization’s Amazon Q index to access information from third-party apps like Google Drive, SharePoint, Slack, Gmail, Outlook, and Salesforce.
- (Advanced) Attribute tracked time to a project of record: Specify which project time entries should be attributed to for billing and accounting purposes, ensuring accurate financial tracking and reporting. (Please note this feature is only available to select beta customers)
- (Advanced) Enhanced Power BI integration: Access expanded data exports including portfolios, projects, tasks, subtasks, and custom fields with improved table organization and faster refresh rates.
- (Advanced) Enhanced Tableau Connector: Access comprehensive data export including portfolios, projects, tasks, subtasks, and custom fields with improved four-hour refresh frequency and optimized table structures for easier business intelligence analysis.
- (Advanced) Week numbers in workload and capacity planning: See the week number displayed in workload and capacity planning views, which may be especially useful for EMEA teams who frequently reference work by week numbers.
- (Enterprise) Private custom fields in rules and bundles: Use private custom fields in your workflows and bundles without compromising data privacy.
- (Enterprise) Portfolio dashboard exports to PowerPoint: Create compelling executive summaries by exporting portfolio dashboards directly to PowerPoint.
- (Enterprise+) IP allowlisting: Restrict access to your Asana organization based on specific IP addresses to meet regulatory compliance requirements for users in regulated industries.
